Afghan police arrest two Pakistani nationals smuggling 1,000kgs of explosives

Afghan counter-terrorism police force have arrested three people including two Pakistanis for smuggling 1,000 kilograms of explosives, officials said Saturday.

The Interior Ministry in a statement said that the vehicle, loaded with explosives, was seized in Kunar Eastern Province of Afghanistan.

The Ministry adds that the detainees were planning to use the explosives to carry out terrorist attacks, targeting different key positions in Assadabad, the capital of Kunar.

Kunar, is located in Eastern part of Afghanistan, it occasionally witness terrorist attacks and roadside bombs- hundreds have been killed or injured so far as a result of the attacks.
