“The high-voltage power transmission line (PTL), stretched from the Mary state power through the town Atamyrat to the border with Afghanistan, has improved the quality of supply of electricity exported to the neighboring country”, – as reported by news agency Trend.

It is also noted that PLT with voltage of 220 kilovolts, built between Iolotani and Tahtabazar, made it possible to double the amount of electricity supplies to Afghanistan from Ymamnazar-Andkhoy.

It is stated that Turkmenistan delivers on favorable terms. According to the conclusion of intergovernmental agreements, these deliveries are made by the transmission line Ymamnazar-Andkhoy with the capacity of 300 million kilowatt-hours of electricity transmission lines and by Serhetabat-Herat-Turgundi with the capacity of 200 million kilowatt-hours.

The opportunity was created to increase the amount of electricity transmitted to Afghanistan towards Serhetabat-Herat-Turgundi, with 200 million kWh to 400 million kWh at this time. Ashgabat pays attention to the fact that all these steps will contribute to the recovery of the Afghan economy and address the issue of energy supply of settlements of the neighboring state.
