Nicholson: ISIS loyalists in Afghanistan, are directly linked with the main group in Syria and Iraq

The top commander of U.S and NATO in Afghanistan said the ISIS loyalists in Afghanistan are directly linked with main group in Iraq and Syria.

John Nicholson, the top commander of U.S and NATO forces in Afghanistan, in an interview with The Associated Press, said the followers of the Islamic State in Afghanistan have financial, communicative and strategic relations with the main leadership of the terrorist group (ISIS) in Iraq and Syria.

He added that the membership request of ISIS branch in Afghanistan, has been approved by the main group in Syria and Iraq, and they have passed certain tests and are responsible to publish issues and reports in Dabiq Journal, owned by ISIS.

Nicholson stressed that America has a firm commitment to fight against terrorist groups including Taliban or ISIS.
