Nawaz Sharif offers training opportunities to Tajik military personnel

Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif said as relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan have expanded, his country is willing to offer training opportunities to the personnel of the armed forces of Tajikistan.

He was addressing the Quadrilateral Session of CASA-1000 conference in Dushanbe on Thursday, which was also attended by the President of the host country, the President of Afghanistan, and Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan.

Sharif is also scheduled to meet with his Afghan counterpart Ashraf Ghani on the sidelines of the summit.

The CASA-1000 project involves Tajikistan, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan wants to expand its cooperation with Tajikistan in all fields.

He added that it is desire of Pakistan to increase bilateral trade with Tajikistan to five hundred million dollars annually.

Sharif also offered training opportunities to the personnel of the armed forces of Tajikistan.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan desires peaceful resolution of all outstanding issues including Jammu and Kashmir dispute with India, but Indian forces have repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement.
