State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin supported the idea of the chairman of the National Assembly (lower house of parliament) of Pakistan, Sadar Ayaz Sadik, on holding a conference with the participation of Iran, China, Pakistan and Afghanistan, where the topics of security and the fight against terrorism will be discussed.

Presumably, the conference will take place in December.

“I think these are topics that will be of interest to everyone – interconnectedness, food security, energy and the fight against terrorism. And in agreement with the parties – what all parties agree will be the agenda, “Sadik said at a meeting with Volodin.
“Holding a conference with the participation of Iran and China could be, as you suggest, in Pakistan. We could join and take part in the conference, “Volodin said.

Sadik also suggested that Turkey be invited to take part in the conference, the speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation supported this idea.

Speaker of the Parliament of Pakistan asked to send a greeting to the former speaker of the State Duma, Sergei Naryshkin, who now holds the post of head of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).

“I will definitely give him your greetings,” Volodin replied, adding that he had met Naryshkin on the eve of his visit to Seoul.

The delegation of the State Duma, headed by Volodin, is on an official visit to Seoul, where the second meeting of the speakers of the countries of Eurasia will be held. A number of bilateral meetings are also planned.
