Russia is ready to create a service center for helicopters in Afghanistan

Russian officials helicopter company said that they are willing to create a service center in Afghanistan to provide repair and other technical services to the Air Force in Afghanistan.

According to «Asia News», Alexander Mikheyev, Director General of JSC “Russian Helicopters”, said the company is also ready to help the Afghan Air Force in the preparation of the technical staff and engineers.

A. Mikheev took over all obligations during a meeting with Shakir Kargar, the special representative of the president of the IRA on cooperation with the CIS countries.

The Director General also offered to send a group of experts of the holding “Russian Helicopters” to Afghanistan to assess the technical condition of the helicopters and their maintenance, as well as expanding the resources of the Afghan Air Force helicopters.

The two sides also held talks on the supply of Russian helicopters to Afghanistan, including military helicopters “Mi-24” and “Mi-35”.

Recall that at the end of last year, Afghanistan and Russia have already agreed to supply attack helicopters “Mi-35”.
