Russian President, Vladimir Putin’s special envoy to Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov said Russia is waiting to witness the impact of the largest U.S non-nuclear bomb dropped in Afghanistan on tunnels and bunkers of the Islamic State in Nangarhar province.

According to Asia news agency report, Kabulov said,” We are waiting to witness the effects and evidence of the attack carried out by the U.S military late Thursday.”

He added,” I am not an explosive expert. It is not my duty to assess the incident. It can only be evaluated by military experts.”

In response to a question on whether he agrees to the former Afghan President, Hamid Karzai’s statement in which he said “the US military is using Afghanistan as a testing ground for new weapons”, Kabulov said it seems like he is right in this regard.

The diplomat said, “The Americans are boasting of the use of their most powerful bomb on Afghanistan. They consider it as a success. What success? That a bomb has exploded!”

“What did you achieve by this move? You destroyed a few IS fighters? You can claim that as a success if you have any evidence in this aspect,” Kabulov concluded.
